The Help Desk Support Technician is responsible for day to day operational IT and end user support
and maintenance. The end user support includes, but is not limited to account and device management, hardware assembly, end user device deployment & decommissioning, basic hardware replacement, rack & stack of equipment, desk side and phone support, asset management & tracking, physical auditing, engineer assistance, and other like tasks.

This role will not participate in the on
call rotation, but will be responsible for supporting the Information Technology department as well
as end users.

This position will require flexibility of hours to meet the business needs, though hours in excess of 40 in a given week will qualify for over time. This person should absorb SME knowledge when permissible and enhance his/her own skill-sets.

Duties:� Provide courteous, positive support to all �customers�
� Accurately document and communicate issues with all vested parties
� Provide support to all IT department team members in addition to users
� Escalate or resolve issues in a timely manner
� Manage time and tasks associated to assigned projects and meet target dates
� Document problems and resolution for future reference.
� Provide extended coverage when business needs require
� Receive, asset tag, configure, install, and deploy new devices
� Uninstall, �sanitize�, decommission, and collect old devices
� Perform approved hardware and software maintenance on devices
� Perform physical auditing functions
� Create and maintain documentation which includes but is not limited to: Visio diagrams,
spreadsheets, configuration templates & archives, build documents
� Monitor system performance and escalate issues as necessary
� Stay current with knowledge of related technologies, designs, methods, and trends
� Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:� Knowledge of HIPAA.
� Hands-on or Lab experience with workstation XP Pro+ platforms
� Hands-on experience with printers, computers, monitors, laptops, peripherals
� Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
� Experience with data entry, web applications, and the internet
� Ability to use manufacturer support sites and search engines to resolve issues
� Ability to accurately enter information in to the help desk ticketing system
� Basic troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software)
� Basic understanding of TCP/IP network concepts and network trouble-shooting
� Basic understanding of group policy objects, print servers, access control lists
� Basic understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls
� The following qualifications would be a value added qualification, but are not required:
- MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7
- Cisco CCNA or Juniper JNCIA-Junos

� A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
� A willingness to provide a high level of customer service, while working within department and company guidelines
� Punctuality and strong attendance
� Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task, as well as, manage projects, time, and meet target dates
� Strong verbal and written communication skills (spelling, grammar, structure, etc..) with exceptional attention to detail and be client-focused and service driven
� Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
� Must be able to adapt to a dynamic environment, which includes the ability to stay late or work weekends/holidays to meet coverage for business needs, as well as working from multiple Compass Medical locations
� Highly organized
